last week i had two meetings in
florence arizona,
one at 9am and one at 115pm.
florence is in the middle of nowhere
and at least 40 miles from anything,
so i wasn't thrilled about having
to hang out there all day.
but then i found out
the casa grande ruins
are 9 miles away from florence.
score.
but as i quickly discovered
the casa grande ruins
are just that --
ruins.
bascially it is one big house
covered by a pavilion.
and some short adobe walls
surrounding it.
it was a cheap ($5) and short (1 hour) visit
and the history surrounding the ruins
is interesting
(no one knows for sure why
this development was abandoned)
but i'm not sure it requires a repeat visit.
